Butterfly Park Revisit

13th September 2009 - It was a revisit to the Butterfly Park and with a different group of shooters this round. This time I am shooting macro along side two other Sony Alpha users and a Nikon user. These guys are my colleague (CJ and Wong, both Sony Alpha) in EDS, an HP Company except for Dennis from T-System.

My previous visit to the park was with Sony Alpha 300, SAL 1870 Kit Lens, and a HVL-F42 Flash. This round of macro shoot, I made a slight upgrade. I brought my Sony Alpha 300, SAL 1870 Kit Lens, HVL-F58 Flash, and a Raynox DCR-250 for close up. Besides that, I brought along my upgraded knowledge in photography and hoping that I can see some improvements in my shots. Here are some of my favorites.

This was shot with a Raynox DCR-250 attached to the Kit Lens.

I was quite lucky as this guy wasn't moving much.

Say "Hi" to its cousin below.

Looking for the sweet stuff.

I like the huge contract difference between the subject and the background. This was shot at f/18!

One hairy bugger. The nice blue bokeh light was created from the caterpillar's abdomen due to shallow depth of field.
